6 Months

Madalin is 6 months already!  I can't believe how fast time has gone.  I think back to June 29th and I can definitely say that I am already forgetting some of the details of that day & weekend...So Sad!

It has been so much fun seeing her develop and grow into a little girl!  We see her personality come out more and she definitely knows what she wants at times.

A few things we would like to remember about month 6:

Hair is turning more blond...we haven't lost a lot of it but you have natural highlights.  Your hair is very light blond underneath the dark baby hair.

You talk a lot...just like your momma!  You have lots of stories to tell especially in the morning.  You like to tell momma and daddy about your dreams.

You sleep through the night 99% of the time.  We still have a few nights where you don't sleep as well but that usually goes along with a runny nose. You don't wake up for a feeding anymore but momma still wakes up to pump in the middle of the night.

You like sleeping on your tummy a lot more than on your back.  This scared momma the first few nights I woke up and found you on your tummy.  You are strong enough to hold your head up and push yourself up so this doesn't worry momma as much anymore!

You are sitting up nicely.  You can be a little wobbly at times but we are still amazed at how strong you are!

You role over both ways and actually prefer to be on your tummy.

We have not tried any food yet...you are not really interested

My 1st Christmas

Christmas was so much fun but SO busy.  I felt like I was always getting strapped into my car seat and we were off!  Momma was singing all the time and it smelt like evergreen in our house all the time!  Momma was trying to "nap train" me, but with all the hustle and bustle I am not sure I played along well.  I'll do better when the craziness is over.

I got to spend a lot of time with momma and nana (momma's mom) over Christmas because my daycare provider took some time off over the holiday as well.  Nana also stayed overnight one night...so much fun!  I got to sleep in!  I spent four mornings with Nana and two full days...I think momma got a lot done at work!

I remember the UPS and FedEx delivery trucks stopping at our house a lot during this time.  I found out from daddy that some of those presents were for my Aunts and Uncles.  I also found out that some of those presents were for me but momma just gave them to me right away instead of wrapping them.  I think momma spoils me!

No one told me that wrapping paper was so fun to play with.  I love the way it crinkles and the colors are stimulating!  I didn't really care what was in the boxes but those boxes are so much fun to play with!  Also what is up with the twinkling lights?  They are everywhere but momma and daddy refuse to let me suck on them.

Oh...I forget to mention that I was able to sit up and open my presents?  I sure got a lot of claps, smiles, and cheers for that trick!  Maybe I will see what else I can do to create that much of excitement next month!

I really liked Christmas and all the joy it brings to people! Momma talks about a little manager where a baby was born.  This baby was mentioned in a lot of songs Momma sang around the house.  Shepherd and Wiseman came to visit the little baby!  Praise God for sending baby Jesus!

My pretty Christmas dress!

Riverview Tree Farm...picking out my first Christmas Tree

We found Santa...not sure what I think of him

Daddy cut down our tree...it is kind of prickly.  Momma thinks it smells good!

I met Santa and Mrs. Clause.  They have a little granddaughter named Madalin too!

Merry Christmas...daddy's girls!

Daddy thought this was funny!

Look at all those presents...a log of them were for me!  I had so many it took two days to open all of them :)

So excited for Christmas...I love the twinkling lights

Nana started a tradition with me...I am going to get a snow globe for every Christmas.
This year I received a snow globe that plays "Jesus Loves Me"

Opening Presents on Christmas Morning...Love my dolly!
We named my dolly Georgia.  Georgia is my pen pal from Wisconsin.  We talk about Georgia a lot so momma thought it was a good name for my dolly!
